Penny and Edmund get married at Avington Park – Avington Park Wedding Photography
Penny and Edmund booked me for their Avington Park Wedding Photography after finding me on Google. They were living in Winchester so we met for a drink at The Corner House – one of my favourite little pub / restaurants in town. I was excited to hear they were getting married at Avington Park with is undoubtedly one of the most amazing venues in this area!
Penny got ready at their home address with her parents, siblings and bridesmaid. It was a gorgeous sunny winter day just a couple of weeks before Christmas. This is one of my favourite times of the year so I was very excited to be photographing such an amazing Winter wedding. Penny had the very talented Lucy Houghton to do her make up for her. Lucy is fantastic at what she does – her website can be found here: http://www.lucyhoughtonmakeup.co.uk/
When Penny was dressed and ready to go we all made our way to Avington Park http://www.avingtonpark.co.uk/O/index.asp. The sun was still shining brightly and it was actually very warm for this time of year. I had just enough time to get some images of Edmund with his Ushers and Best Man before Penny arrived with her Dad.
The ceremony was held in the ballroom at Avington Park. It is such a breathtaking room. The most perfect place for a wedding ceremony! Penny looked so elegant as she walked down the aisle – Edmund and the guests couldn’t take their eyes off her – just beautiful.
After the ceremony we knew we would have very limited natural light left to the day so we gathered guests outside for a group shot before doing some beautiful shots of the newly-weds on their own together. After the sun went down it got a little chilly so guests went inside and we continued the group shots back upstairs in the ballroom.
The wedding breakfast took place in the library room. It’s a gorgeous room at Avington Park with soft lemon walls. This place really is the ultimate photographers dream! As guests enjoyed their food I planned some extra couple shots to take after the meal with some flash guns to get creative with the venue and the early winter darkness.
The evening saw plenty of dancing! Guests certainly weren’t shy to get their boogie on and there was even a conga line! It certainly made for some epic party pictures!
Penny and Edmund your wedding was nothing short of perfect – thank you so much for having me to be a part of it! x x x
