Ceri & Spencer – Clock Barn wedding photography

It was such a pleasure to shoot this gorgeous Clock Barn wedding. This was my first back for 2021 and wow, it felt good to be back doing what I love! This day felt extra special because the Groom’s Brother is my Brother’s friend and I also shot his wedding three years back.

I arrived around lunchtime to meet the girls in the bridal prep barn on site. This newly refurbished barn is the perfect space for relaxing with your besties while you get ready for your big day. There are two separate large spaces, complete with comfy sofa, mirrors and lots of natural light. The girls were so much fun and were a pleasure to photograph. It was so great to be able to capture all their smiles and excitement in the build up to the ceremony. Ceri’s hair and makeup was done by the talented BeYouWeddings. She wore a lacy dress designed by Ronald Joyce from Anya’s Bridal and finished the look with a pretty pearl headpiece by Eden B Studios. The beautiful bouquets and flower displays were by Maggie’s Flower Shed.

My second photographer Rachel, met Spencer and the rest of the boys at his childhood home. She captured some lovely, relaxed images of the family members having a pre wedding drink in the garden before they went off to The Clock Barn. Spencer wore a navy, 3 piece suit with pale floral tie from French Connection.

The Ceremony

Wedding ceremonies with 30 people are my new favourite thing. Intimate, but still plenty of love in the room. Spencer looked on nervously as the bridesmaids started to enter the barn. I love the expression on Ceri’s face, captured by Rachel, as she is about to go in to the ceremony with her Dad. It’s so lovely to have two photographers – it were just myself, this moment would not have been possible to capture.

There were some gorgeous readings, one in particular was extra special as it was read by their Sister in Law, Heather. I think there were a few tears shed around the room at this stage <3

The Reception

The dry weather meant we could get some beautiful confetti shots in the gardens before guests sat down for canapes. At this point, Rachel and I captured plenty of relaxed, candid photos of the guests. We began group shots after canapes and then captured some beautiful couple shots. As always, the catering at Clock Barn is absolutely exceptional. The guests sat down to a gorgeous meal with an incredible Beef Wellington as the main. The talent of these chefs always amaze me. Getting the beef perfectly cooked for so many people must be such a task, but it’s spot on, every time.

During the evening, guests relaxed with more drinks and some incredible pizzas. I drove Ceri & Spencer to the main driveway and we captured some beautiful sunset images before their first dance.

Thanks for a wonderful day guys – you two were the perfect first couple back! xxx
