Clock Barn Hampshire – Anya & Stephen are married
I must say I just love the Clock Barn in Hampshire! It’s such a great all round venue. If you’ve always wanted a barn venue for your wedding then I highly recommend having a visit to the Clock Barn. You will love it! The best part about the barn is that it’s not just one room like so many of the other barns. There are 3 rooms and also a gorgeous bridal dressing area at the back. It’s perfect for yourself and your maids to freshen up throughout the day. Here is their website: The Clock Barn Hampshire
On 19th May 2017 I began my day in Northington, not far from Winchester. This is where Anya was getting ready with her family and her bridesmaids. Her parents live right by Northington Church so getting married here was the obvious choice. The girls all had pretty pastel coloured wrap tie bridesmaids dresses. They looked elegant but effortless with very relaxed flowing hair styles. Anya herself looked radiant in her strapless gown. She also had her hair very loose flowing with just a few pieces pinned up at the back.
Stephen was photographed in the morning by my usual second photographer Rachel. The boys looked equally as fabulous in their blue suits, especially when their button holes were pinned in place and all set to go!
The ceremony took place in Northington Church. This church is at the end of the road where her parents live – just a 30 second walk! The girls walked up the path as the weather was luckily still dry at this time. The ceremony was incredible – very romantic and made even more romantic by the ammmazing kiss the couple treated everyone to at the end! It was so cute! You can tell Stephen is an incredibly romantic man..if I had asked my husband to do a kiss like that at the end of our ceremony he would have laughed the idea away!
Outside after the ceremony we had time for some confetti photos down by the lychgate just before the rain set in for our drive to the Clock Barn.
The Reception and evening
After arriving at the Clock Barn Hampshire, guests went inside to escape the threatening weather. Sadly it was getting greyer and the rain soon came down with some force! Rachel and I used the time to capture natural guest photos and images of the table layouts. We had to capture a variety of the group photos indoors as the rain became too strong to go outside but I was hopeful for drier weather later in the day.
Sure enough, after the meal and speeches the sun came out and the weather was stunning! We used the opportunity to capture images of Anya with her Bridesmaids and Stephen with his Ushers. It was also a fantastic opportunity to do some more couple shots in the field opposite the barn. Anya and Stephen were naturals at this and enjoyed every second of snuggling up and being romantic!
The evening entertainment was a band who were set up on the dance floor of the barn. They certainly did a great job of getting everyone up dancing!
Before we finished for the night we wanted to try something a little different so Rachel and I went out into the field with some flashguns and some gels and lit up the large tree in a pink glow. We then grabbed our happy couple for a quick few photos just before heading off and leaving them to party the night away.
Thanks again for a wonderful day you two! What a brilliant wedding! xx
