Susan & Ben’s Clock Barn Winter Wedding Photography
Clock Barn Winter wedding photography – In November, on a damp and cold day, Susan and her bridesmaids got ready in the dressing room at the Clock Barn. The girls looked so excited and Susan was beaming with pride right from the start of the day. I began taking images of the girls chatting as they had their hair and makeup done. It was a lovely relaxed morning and the rain wasn’t spoiling anything. My second photographer Rachel met Ben and the boys as they got ready at home. Ben chose a lovely pale grey suit – perfect for an early Winter wedding.
The ceremony took place in the far side of the barn. Susan and Ben didn’t have a huge wedding and so this space worked perfectly for them without anyone feeling too cramped. The inside of Clock Barn is the perfect setting for a Winter wedding. It feels cozy and warm with all the beautiful exposed beams – Clock Barn
After the ceremony guests were ushered into the Stable Room where they enjoyed drinks and canapes by the open fire. Rachel took lots of natural images for me while I photographed the beautiful table layouts and the cake. Susan and Ben had a stunning cake as well as jars of homemade cookies – made the the bride herself!
Luckily the rain began to dry up at this point in the day. Susan and Ben braved the gardens for some couple images as the light began to fade. The rain gave everything a beautiful shimmer – greens of the surrounding bushes and trees looked extra pretty catching the last light of the afternoon.
Ushers, Best Man and Bridemaids joined us outdoors at this time too. We had some fun creating group images of everyone together. As dinner drew near, all the guests braved the outdoors for confetti images before heading inside to warm up again for speeches and toasting.
After dark we braved the cold once again for some portraits of the couple with flash. It’s nice to get creative once the natural daylight has gone and Susan and Ben were more than happy to do so.
The evening celebrations included an amazing band and a huge pizza oven! The pizzas were incredible – nothing quite like a freshly made pizza! The guests were so well fed and looked after at this amazing wedding. The team at the Clock Barn always excel in looking after their guests.
