Leah & Simon get married at Jermyn’s House – Hillier Garden wedding photography
I was so excited when Leah and Simon booked their Hillier Garden wedding photography with myself. The ceremony itself was in the beautiful Jermyn’s House, an elegant little venue steeped in history and rural tradition. Their website can be seen here http://www3.hants.gov.uk/hilliergardens/weddings-at-hilliers.htm
I began the day photographing Leah with her closest friends and bridesmaids at her home address in Botley. The girls were all so lovely and really looked after me throughout the day – I really felt like I was amongst friends myself. Leah made a beautiful bride, I knew she would, with her stunning dark hair and beautiful eyes, she really was every part the photographers dream model.
When I arrived at Jermyn’s house I met Simon and his best man. They both looked fantastic in royal blue suits and Simon seemed wonderfully calmed amongst his guests. We had a few heavy showers at this point but Leah wasn’t at all phased by it and luckily the car pulled up right out the front so she wouldn’t get wet.
After the ceremony the rain held off and we got some fun group shots with Jermyn’s house and the gardens as the backdrop. As the guests started to make their way to reception, Leah, Simon and I went on a walk around the gardens for some beautiful couple shots in and amongst colourful plants.
The reception was held at the Rising Sun pub in Swanmore. The garden was the host to a wonderful teepee marquee which was decorated amazingly! Tables were laid out in rows rather than as single round tables and it had a real picnic feel to it! I thought it was a great way of bringing the guests closer to each other and it was also a great way to save space and to fit in extra guests. There was an incredibly large flower centrepiece dangling from the ceiling of the marquee. This was made by Leah’s very talented Mum.
The rest of the afternoon was so relaxed and fun. I captured lots of natural images of the guests enjoying the atmosphere, eating food and chatting. Leah and Simon finished with a fun first dance inside the teepee and I left them at this point to party the rest of the night away.
Thank you to both of you for having to as a part of your stunning and unique Hillier Garden wedding photography. I really enjoyed every moment with you both. Keep in touch x x x
