Lizzie and Craig’s wedding – Lainston House Wedding Photography
Lainston House Wedding Photography – Lizzie and Craig’s wedding was AMAZING! These guys had two of the best venues in Hampshire for their wedding day. Romsey Abbey for their ceremony and Lainston House Hotel for the reception. Both stunning venues and amazing for photo opportunities. Here is a link to both venues for those of you who are not famliar with them: Romsey Abbey – http://www.romseyabbey.org.uk/ and Lainston House Hotel – http://www.lainstonhouse.com/EXCLUSIVE_HOTELS/the_hotel.aspx
The weather for this wedding was absolutely glorious! It was hot and sunny – the perfect English Summertime weather. Lizzie got ready at her Mum’s home in Romsey with her bridesmaids. Their colour scheme was a dusky purple and the bridesmaids dresses were so gorgeous! Lizzie’s flowers complimented them perfectly too. The dress Lizzie wore was a little ‘Audrey Hepburn’ in style! It was so cute and fitted Lizzie perfectly. The shape on it was stunning and really flattering. Lizzie looked perfect! I loved her choice of shoes too – they were her ‘Something Blue’ and were satin with large sparkly diamonte buckles – very much like Carrie Bradshaws iconic Manolo Blahnik wedding shoes!
The ceremony at Romsey Abbey was amazing. Guests were able to gather outside the Abbey in the sunshine while they waited for the bride to arrive. I got photos of the bridesmaids along with the flowergirls outside before Lizzie arrived. She arrived with her Mum in style, in a vintage car. I captured some images of the ladies together before the ceremony began.
After the service, guests went out the Abbey to the gardens where they chatted and exchanged hugs and kisses. We then all gradually made our way over to the lovely Lainston House, but not before Lizzie, Craig and I got some couple shots around the Abbey.
Back at Lainton House, guests enjoyed the sunshine in the lovely gardens and I captured lots of natural images, as well as the group photographs. Lizzie, Craig and I spent some time going around the venue getting couple shots. Lainston House has a lot to offer, including gorgeous gardens, ruins of an old church and the kitchen garden complete with herbs and pretty flowers!
After the wedding breakfast and the speeches, tea and coffee was served outside the Dawley Barn. The light began to change and get softer at this point, so we went into the Kitchen Garden and got some gorgeous photos of the new Mr and Mrs together. They were such an easy couple to photograph – beautifully natural and at ease with the camera!
After a romantic first dance, Craig gathered up some of his friends for a cigar photo! It was getting quite dark by this point so we got a little creative and added in a bit of flash behind the group to pick out the smoke. It’s always fun to do something a bit different at the end of the day!
Thanks for being so much fun you two xxx
