Greg and Marcia get married – Lainston House Wedding Winchester, Hampshire
On August 13th I photographed gorgeous Mr and Mrs Strong at their Lainston House Wedding Winchester, Hampshire. This will always be a favourite wedding venue in Winchester for me. It’s stunning! I would have quite liked my own wedding here! Check out the Lainston House website here.
Beautiful Marcia got ready in the bridal suite at Lainston House with her bridesmaids and her Mum. It was shaping up to be a gorgeous sunny day and I could feel the excitement in the air for the girls as I went to meet them. I began photographing Marcia as she had her make-up done. She’s such a natural and beautiful girl. I knew she would make the most perfect bride! I adored her lovely dress and her sparkly shoes – stunning!
Greg our Groom got ready with the boys in one of the attic rooms at Lainston. I love a tuxedo – the guys wore these and they looked fantastic! Thanks Rachel for capturing some gorgeous images for me – as always!
Who doesn’t love an outdoor ceremony! I love an outdoors wedding! Anticipation was building from the front of the aisle for poor Greg as the walk from the house to the aisle was quite long! Look below and you’ll see the cutest page boy ever! He ran the length of the aisle to give the rings to Greg – he’s only 2! Cute!
A sweet ceremony followed and as rings and vows were exchanged there were one or two teary eyes at the front of the ceremony!
After the couple walked back down the aisle we took the opportunity to get some lovely confetti shots. Thanks to the amazing Malcolm, Lainston House’s toastmaster for being amazing at helping with organisation!
The Reception and evening
Amazing weather stayed with us, so guests were able to enjoy the reception in the gardens of Lainston House. Rachel and I took plenty of natural, relaxed images of everyone chatting and congratulating our newlyweds.
After group images, we used the remaining time to capture beautiful couple portraits overlooking the stunning views from the house. Our couple were naturals and did so well with having their photos taken. We kept them relaxed and fun without too much posing.
The wedding breakfast was served in the Dawley Barn at Lainston House. The tables looked stunning and Rachel and I were sure to capture all the beautiful little details that had been put into the design.
The lucky guests enjoyed a 5 course dinner and speeches followed in between each course. Tears and laughs a plenty, emotions were running high – such a great collection of speeches made by all. Even brave Marcia did a speech followed with an emotional video of the couple when they got engaged on a beach in Bali – so romantic!
Lainston offer exclusive use for weddings which is what our couple chose, meaning to end the wedding , guests made their way to the main house again for music and more drinks. The couple cut their stunning cake and then went into the first dance. What a perfect end to a perfect day! Can we do it all again?!
