Chris and Sammy’s Norton Park Hotel Wedding
Sammy and Chris booked me for their wedding photography back in 2013. They are such a lovely couple and we hit it off straight away so I was thrilled when they said they wanted me to be their photographer.
Sammy got ready at Norton Park Hotel in the old manor house with her bridesmaids and her parents. It was a beautiful early Autumn day and the sun was shining for us. I began by capturing Sammy’s stunning dress, her sparkly shoes and her jewellery with the flowers. The colour scheme was simple, yet beautiful and Sammy just had neutral cream gerbera flowers in her bouquet to compliment the soft, beigey pink of the bridesmaids dresses. When Sammy had her dress on she looked so beautiful! She has the most tiny, perfect figure and it complimented the elegant dress just perfectly – I knew Chris would be blown away when he saw her!
Sammy and her Dad made their way over to the beautiful barn where the wedding was taking place. She seemed a little nervous but so excited! My second photographer Mia was already there with the boys and the rest of the guests as they waited for Sammy to arrive.
The ceremony was wonderful and tears were exchanged by the Mum’s! There was also plenty of laughter from Sammy and some nervous giggles throughout.
After the vows were exchanged we went back towards the manor house and into the gardens for photos. The sunshine was gorgeous – slightly hazy and perfect as a back light to our group photos. The guests enjoyed the warm Autumn air and some canapes throughout the rest of the reception time.
Speeches were held after the meal from Sammy’s Dad, Chris and Sammy’s Brother who was the Best Man. It was just perfect and plenty of laughing along with smiles and tears – a great end to a lovely meal.
The evening reception was held back over in the main hotel building. The conference rooms get changed into a stunning cream curtain lined room – not unlike the inside of a marquee – the transformation is amazing and it looked beautiful lit with soft coloured uplighting. Evening guests started to arrive as the DJ began and Sammy and Chris finished their photography with an emotional first dance.
What a wonderful wedding – thanks for having me there you two! x x x
