Natalie and Richard get married in Wickham at The Old House Hotel – The Old House Hotel wedding photography
What a pretty little wedding this was! Natalie and Richard got married in the gorgeous village of Wickham at The Old House Hotel. It is a tiny little place but perfect for an intimate wedding, which is exactly what this was! Natalie and Richard had just the closest family and friends with them for the day. I love a tiny wedding – it’s so personal and it means the bride and groom can be totally relaxed the whole day.
Natalie began her day getting ready with her Mum and bridesmaids. There is a gorgeous accommodation unit at the bottom of the garden of the hotel with enough bedrooms to sleep the bride, brides Mum and bridesmaids. The light in there was beautiful and it provided ample space for everyone to get ready for the wedding. Natalie looked so pretty – I knew she’d make a gorgeous bride! She is such an elegant and feminine lady and she looked amazing all dressed and ready to go. I left Natalie with her Mum and bridesmaids to calm their nerves while I headed back up the garden to meet Richard and the rest of the guests.
The service was really short and sweet – words exchanged and tears shed, the perfect amount of laughter and love between the couple and the most important people there to share it with them.
Group photographs were taken in the garden afterwards. We luckily had a warm and slightly overcast day which was perfect for the end of August. Natalie and Richard spent a few minutes with me before the meal to capture some couple shots before everyone sat down to eat. The table decorations were stunning! Gorgeous flowers mixed with elegant vases and tableware – it looked perfect. Their cake was made by a friend and it was a work of art – one of the best cakes I’ve seen for a long time!
As the evening drew closer, more guests started to arrive and the band set up. After the cake was cut the first dance began and the party began properly. At this point I left everyone to continue the rest of the celebrations.
Thanks Natalie and Richard for a brilliant wedding! It was a pleasure to photograph it for you x x x
