Sophie and Marc’s New Years Eve Wedding
Sophie and Marc’s Rhinefield House Wedding Photography took place on New Years Eve and it was such a great day to choose! I mean, what could be better? Going to see your friends get married on New Years Eve and then an awesome party afterwards – perfect! It’s such a gorgeous venue – one of the best New Forest venues by far. http://www.handpickedhotels.co.uk/hotels/rhinefield-house/
Sophie arrived at Rhinefield House with her hair and make-up completed so we has plenty of time to capture some bridal portraits of her on her own in the remaining daylight by the huge bedroom windows in the bridal suite. The wedding wasn’t until 4pm so light certainly wasn’t on my side! The good thing about Christmas time weddings is that although you tend to lose light quickly, you often have loads of gorgeous warm ambient light or fairy lights to balance nicely with the flash, resulting in gorgeous cozy looking images!
The ceremony took place in the main ballroom of Rhinefield House in front of the most amazing Christmas tree! It was so beautiful! Sophie and Marc looked beamingly happy the whole time – it was lovely to photograph! Sophie was walked down the aisle by both her Dad and her Step Dad which was so thoughtful and sweet. They both mean a lot to her so she couldn’t choose between them.
After the ceremony guests enjoyed a drink and canapes while I set up some lighting for the group shots. We got the group shots done as quickly and efficiently as we could so that Sophie and Marc had plenty of time with their guests.
After dinner the speeches took place and we had extra time to get a variety of couple shots both inside Rhinefield House and outside too. It was fun to get creative with some flash lit images in the dark weather. Luckily it stayed dry for us so we could venture out into the grounds at Rhinefield later into the evening.
Thanks for an amazing day – it was a brilliant and very festive wedding to be a part of! x x x
