Hannah and Tom’s beautiful wedding and reception at Ampfield House near Romsey.
I met Hannah and Tom back in 2013 to chat through their plans for their Romsey wedding photography at Ampfield House. Everything about this day was perfect and we were so lucky with the weather! It began grey, cloudy and a little rainy as Hannah got ready at her parent’s house in Chandlers Ford. Her parents have the most amazing 3 storey home with incredible light on the top floor which was just perfect for me to capture some lovely detailed shots of the dress, shoes and flowers. As the girls got ready the weather began to clear and looked promising for the rest of the day.
Tom got ready with the boys and had photos taken by the lovely Rachel from Rachel Jane Weddings before heading to the church to meet and greet the arriving guests.
Although the church was very small inside, the light coming in was really beautiful, especially as the sunshine got stronger throughout the ceremony. After everything was made official we made our way into the church grounds for the group and confetti shots.
Reception was held at the gorgeous Ampfield House, Romsey, where a marquee was laid out with some of the most pretty table layouts I’ve seen in a long time. Rachel captured the guests enjoying their canapés while I took Hannah and Tom for some couple shots around the grounds of Ampfield House.
As the guests sat down to have their food Rachel and I took a short break. I have to say we were incredibly well looked after at this wedding by the amazing Keats Restaurant & Events who took care of all the catering. Not only did they give us a beautifully cooked main meal, we also got to enjoy a yummy melting middle chocolate pudding too! It was delicious food and we certainly felt energised ready to capture the evening celebrations!
Speeches continued shortly after food, with some wonderful words from boththe Dads, the groom and the best man. Everyone enjoyed a toast and got ready for the evening to commence as the rest of the guests started to arrive.
In the evening, as the rain set in, it almost made the atmosphere inside the marquee even cosier! The light faded and as the first dance began I felt it was the perfect end to a wonderful wedding.
