On 19th August 2017 I had the pleasure of photographing Ellen and Scott’s beautiful wedding. Our bride and groom got married on a warm and dry day in August. Ellen began her day getting ready at her parents house in Poole overlooking beautiful views of the water. They had the wonderful Tori Fuller from Riot Hairdressing to style Ellen and her beautiful bridesmaids. The girls looked like they’d stepped out the pages of a magazine. What beautiful girls! They looked SO amazing. The dresses, hair and make-up were to die for! I had a lot of fun photographing the girls. Everyone was just so relaxed!
Scott, our lovely Groom was photographed in the morning by my wonderful second photographer Clare West. She met them before the ceremony to capture some relaxed and natural images.
The ceremony took place in the Church of the Sacred Heart in Bournemouth town centre. What a stunning church to photograph in! Photography rules are pretty strict in here so we had to be incredible discreet but managed to capture a beautiful range of images through the very heartfelt ceremony.
Outside after the ceremony we had time for some confetti photos before our newlyweds headed off for their Somerley House wedding reception in their gorgeous Bentley!
The Reception and evening
After arriving at Somerley House, guests enjoyed the most delicious looking canapes ever! Elegantly presented, all sorts of lovely canape varieties were circulating. I captured some group images while Clare took on the role of capturing lots of natural photographs of the guests.
As I entered the wedding breakfast room I was overwhelmed by how beautiful it looked. Alex and the event team at Somerley House must have worked tirelessly getting this just right. It was stunning! Like something from a movie! Check out a couple of photos below – wow! The couple had little tiny bottles of Lemoncello as their favours which was a lovely touch!
As each course ended a speech began. Ellen’s lovely Dad began, followed by Scott and then of course the Best Man.
Evening entertainment followed swiftly. A lovely two piece band were playing. They were called Truly Medley Deeply.
To end the wedding Ellen and Scott took to the dance floor and all the guests shortly joined in. What a wonderful day! I very much enjoyed being a Somerley House wedding photographer and can’t wait to be back here again very soon!
