Cara and Laurence – Wedding photography at Otterbourne Church.
Cara contacted me back in summer 2013 about her garden party styled wedding, which was to take place May 2014 on Otterbourne Village Hall’s green. I was instantly excited by the sound of such a fun and pretty D.I.Y wedding and I was thrilled after meeting both Cara and her fiancé Laurence as we instantly clicked and they booked me to be a part of their special day.
Rachel Haward from Rachel Jane Weddings did an excellent job of second shooting for me and began with the boys at the White Horse pub for some fun and natural shots. I met Cara and the girls at The Winchester Hotel where bridal preparations were taking place. Once the girls were dressed and ready we all made our way to the amazing Otterbourne Church where the ceremony was being held. This is one of my all time favourite churches to shoot in because it’s so grand inside with beautiful candelabras all the way down the aisle – just stunning.
Group shots were taken at the church after the ceremony and then Cara, Laurence and I made our way down the road to a beautiful privately owned house where we got some pretty couple shots. In the mean time, Rachel went to the reception venue to begin capturing the gorgeous sandwiches and home-made cakes on display in the village hall. Guests had entered the ‘Great Wedding Bake Off’ and were all hoping to snap up the winning title of ‘Best Wedding Cake 2014’!
When we arrived back to the reception everyone gathered together for a large group photo and to raise a glass to the newlyweds. As everyone took a seat to relax and have their sandwiches, tea and cake, Rachel and I left them to enjoy the rest of the day and to party the night away.
This wedding was simple, elegant and so beautiful. Thank you so much to a wonderful couple for having us there to capture your wedding photography at Otterbourne Church. Enjoy your future together xxx
