Lucy and Matt at West Stoke Farm Barn in Stoke Charity – Winchester Wedding Photography.
I was so so excited to be a part of Lucy and Matt’s Winchester wedding photography. I had met Lucy previous to the day where we actually worked on a wedding together! Lucy is an amazing local make-up artist so it was a real honour to be asked to photograph her wedding considering she sees so many other photographers at work!
Lucy got ready with her bridesmaids and Mum at the gorgeous manor house at Norton Park hotel which is just 5 minutes from where I live. Norton Park is a great all round wedding venue and the manor house was perfect as there were a lot of girls getting ready that morning with Lucy! It is a highly spacious building with plenty of beautiful rooms. The Norton Park website can be found here: http://www.qhotels.co.uk/our-locations/norton-park/weddings/ The girls all looked stunning and Lucy bravely did everyone’s make up all by herself and left her own make up to last too!
The dresses were all amazing! Lucy had chosen beautiful pastal colours for the dresses – all different which was so nice to see! The groom, ushers and best man all matched the girls with their ties too! This made for some great bridal party photos later on in the day.
Matt was met in the morning by my second photographer Ashley from Ash Darling Photography. The boys had a quick pint before the ceremony to calm nerves and then off they went to the beautiful Sparsholt Church near Winchester.
The ceremony was relaxed and romantic. Lucy looked incredible as she walked down the aisle and by the look on Matt’s face he clearly felt very lucky indeed. After the ceremony we had time for a fun confetti shot in the church grounds before Lucy, Matt and I went into Stoke Charity for some couple shots by the pond.
The reception was held at the West Stoke Farm Barn near Stoke Charity and was such a unique and fun choice! Outdoors they had hay bale seats and ‘beer pong’ to entertain the guests! The seating layouts were inside a beautiful rustic old barn. It was decorated beautifully, candles, love signs, sweetie jars and pretty garden style flower pots. It was so perfect! We got some more couple shots at the farm and used the amazing backdrops, including the hay bales, an old petrol pump and the rolling fields.
Thanks Lucy and Matt for choosing me to capture your Winchester wedding photography and for having me as a part of your unique and beautiful wedding day. I felt honoured that you chose me. I hope you enjoy your photos for many years to come!
